Too Sick To TofC (Two-Five-Zero-23 013)
--
In support of my book“Here’s What We’ll Do: Practical suggestions for working toward a marginally Better Future”
Here’s last week’s 250-word post. It’s a week late.
Have you ever had the experience of coming right up to getting something important done, and then there’s some sudden and unexpected obstacle that prevents you from taking the final step?
Some people believe that the energy behind such obstacles is built into the universe. Ganesh, the elephant-headed god of the Hindu pantheon, is, among his other responsibilities, the Remover of Obstacles. Obstacles have been part of the human experience for millennia.
That being said, I actually completed the annotated Table of Contents (TofC) for the first seven chapters of HWWD. It was much too long, so I also completed the much-shortened version of the TofC. And then I got sick. And as a consequence of that obstacle I got delayed.
I’ve done a lot of writing and talking about this book. I’ve been working in my own private office for quite some time. This TofC threshold is the first time I’m ever going public with actual content. So, you know, interesting this obstacle should make itself known in all its manifest, shall we say, qualities just at this liminal juncture.
So, about this TofC for the first seven chapters — It’s all written. I’m going to be simultaneously publishing for the first time to the chapter portion of my OurBetterFuture dot org website which needed some adjustments. That’s all pretty much ready to go, and I’ll be publishing in the next couple days. That is all.
